David Copithorne shares his wife Barbara’s passion for storytelling, putting his 25-plus years of experience in journalism, publishing, marketing, media and communications to work on Toe the Line.
As our Executive Producer, he provides creative direction on scripts and writing in addition to acting as our behind-the-scenes business manager, fundraiser and production coordinator.
Dave has a long and successful background in all forms of media. He started as a reporter for daily and weekly newspapers in New York and Boston after he graduated from Harvard, helped start up a weekly newspaper and a monthly magazine, then founded a successful marketing services company in Silicon Valley which he eventually sold to Omnicom, the global marketing services holding company.
Since 2002, he has worked as a writer, publisher, social entrepreneur, marketing consultant and investor with startup companies. He also serves on the board of directors of the Global Health Media Project, a nonprofit that develops videos to train frontline health workers in resource-poor areas around the world.
